The Quality Assurance Department strives to increase awareness of and support initiatives related to quality assurance within Islamic Call University in order to fulfill its strategic priorities regarding institutional novelty and brilliance as well as the provision of a high- quality educational experience for all students.
The department collaborates with both academic and administrative departments and sections in the design and implementation of quality assurance processes that address both internal and external requirements and benchmarks in a manner that is commensurate with the multifaceted challenges facing higher education.
Internally, ICUC adopted a dual dimensional system of monitoring; centralized and decentralized. The centralized arm is headed by the VC, but work at the directorate is executed and implemented by the Quality Assurance team. The decentralized arm headed and implemented by the departmental heads such as the Director Postgraduate, Deans of Faculties and the Academic Registrar. These among others ensures that quality is provided at their levels of administration.
To promote a culture of continuing quality enhancement, the department advocate for capacity development within the institution in the context of the core academic responsibilities of teaching, learning, research and engagement, as well as academic and non-academic support services.
ICUC recognises the need to embed quality advancement and continuous improvement mechanisms in all its activities if it is to develop and enhance excellence in pursuit of the national Vision 2040.

In order to foster and promote excellence in pursuit of the national Vision 2040, ICUC acknowledges the necessity of integrating quality advancement and continuous improvement processes into all of its operations. A strategic planning framework offered by Vision 2040 will help ICUC transition to more integrated planning systems and procedures, where institutional strategic planning aligns with the following;
>> The creation of an institutional culture that is transformative and enabling.
>>Integrated planning for human resources, infrastructure, finances, and academia.
>>Mechanisms for monitoring and assessment, such as performance management and quality advancement programs at all organizational levels.
All facets of ICUC’s basic operations, including teaching, research, and engagement, as well as the administrative, technological, and infrastructure support systems, are included in the framework mentioned above, which is seen as a major facilitator.
